This section covers stoichiometric perovskites,
i.e. the ratio of A : B : X ions remains constant at 1 : 1 : 3.

With respect to this condition, only a few structural changes are possible:

  • structural distorsion due to misfit of ideal ionic raddi etc. (1.2)
  • Solid solutions of type (A,A')BO3 or A(B,B')O3 etc. (1.3)
  • Ordered compounds containing different A, B and/or X ions (1.4)
