In order to follow this course, some knowledge, as well as hardware skills, software and databases are requested.

Knowledge
Basic crystallography will not be teached. Then, the candidates should already possess a minimum of knowledge in this discipline: the minimum is a four years University level in Physics or Chemistry including at least one unit in Crystallography.  

Hardware
A PC working under Windows 95/98/NT/2000/XP is requested. The candidate should have access to a full Internet connection (E-mail, Web, FTP, Telnet) with an attachment capacity of at least 3 Mbytes.

Software - Databases
The course is based either on public domain softwares or licenced products for which a time-restricted licence is delivered.
