I just buyed a Lexmark Z52 inkjet printer.
My Linux is SuSE 6.4 on PC.
I installed the driver cjlx52le.tar.gz available since 11-01-2000 at Lexmark US.
The configuration of /etc/printcap is not given and by trial and error I managed to have something work.
Late news: Lexmark-france was very responsive and by
6 hours time I had a sample /etc/printcap entry:

The Spool_Directories are owned by lp.lp
I discovered afterwards that this is a Windows only printer
and I wonder how the Epson Stylus Color 880 compares
in term of speed and BW text quality ?
Here is what guided my choice:
printer black_nozzles color_nozzles
epson SC880 144 3x48
lexmark Z52 192 3x64
epson SC980 192 3x96
But I don't know the pitch of the nozzles ?
Please Lexmark do youself a favor and give to the Linux
developpers the needed infos on the protocol of the Z52
