Problems (and Solutions?)


Funding and continuation of burning CDs.

Initially this was personally funded, not continued at a small scale under the CCP14. CD-ROMs cannot be sold (despite requests from Western Laboratories) as this would invalidate the basis for many of the web site and software permissions.

Could be feasible on a significant scale if sponsorship was used combined with a distribution of a suitable medium (i.e., the IUCr Newsletter).


Sending the CD-ROM through the post

Some parts of the world require parcels sent with SECURE POST at an extra cost (~US$7.5) to guarantee packages will arrive.


Getting Information to Suitable Test Laboratories Isolated from the Internet!!
