SHELXL-93 HTML HELP FILES - Implementation Notes

• First and foremost, the hypertext adaptation was MY OWN project, carried out absolutely independently of Professor Sheldrick - it was originally intended as a way for me to become more familiar with the documentation and to make myself more proficient in the use of SHELXL-93. I have contacted Professor Sheldrick about distributing the SHELXL-93 help files in this format; he has given me permission to do so, but has stated that he wishes not to get involved with distributing or supporting the hypertext adaptation (he doesn't use Mosaic or Netscape). I ask you to please respect his wishes and do not question him about hypertext, web browsers, etc.

• I have tried to follow the original help documentation as closely as possible, adding only the hyperlinks between sections and the Table of Contents. If you see a discrepancy between the original documentation and these pages, you may safely assume that the responsibility is mine - please contact me if you see any of my errors! That also includes instances of links not going where they should - probably a consequence of adding in the HTML markup sequences by hand (not a job for the faint of heart).

• I use Mosaic as my web browser, which is why the format is so boring (black text on grey background - not very exciting). I'll leave it to the Netscapers to come up with a version that's a bit more entertaining.
