There is a new implementation of Brent Segelke's CRYSTOOL program [1] for creating efficient, customizable, random crystallization screens. The new version (version 4.1) incorporates several features that users have requested over the years that CRYSTOOL has been available on the web. CRYSTOOL 4.1 is also running on a new server. The most frequent complaint we have had about CRYSTOOL is persistant difficulties with timeout. We hope that the new server solves many of these problems but we welcome your comments. Please give the new CRYSTOOL 4.1 a try and write to us if there are any problems. Your worksheets have been translated so they can be used with the new program. If you find any problems with your worksheet please let me know so I can retrieve your old worksheet and figure out how the translation failed.

CRYSTOOL 4.1 is located at:

We look forward to hearing from you.
