Getting Started

View of the main window.

The software consists of six main elements:

1. Tree Panel - contains the tree of all objects
2. File Editor
3. Main Toolbar - contains commands incorporated within the software
4. Commands Toolbar - contains adjustable buttons
5. Main Menu - general commands
6. Files - the list of all atoms existing in current folder

The Tree Panel can be created automatically from the storage device files structure. This can be done by executing the "New Project->From Folder" command from context menu of the Tree Panel. Simply select the folder or disk where the files are stored and the software will create the tree automatically. If only one node have to be added to the tree chose the "From File" command.

View of the Tree Panel context menu (right click to show).
New Node - adds new node to the structure. The node has the same level as currently selected
Insert Node - adds a child node to the selected one
New Project - creates new tree node (description in text above)
Explore - runs Windows (R) Explorer to explore the projects folder
Send to Floppy - displays a list of files to copy to floppy
Zip and Send to Floppy - the command works only if pkzip.exe (PKWARE (R)) exists. The operation is similar to the previous one.

Once the tree is created, it can be rearranged using drag and drop operations. By default, the dragged object will be placed on the same level as the object where the mouse button is released. If the node have to be inserted as a child node, Ctrl button should be pressed before the mouse button released.

A project can be activated by double clicking on the tree node. Different files can be shown in the File Editor by clicking on the corresponding tabs (the tab name actually represents the extension of the file).

Files list provides access to all files which exist in current folder. To open file with Notepad or Wordpad use corresponding commands of the context menu. To open the file by the software associated with it simply double click on it.
