Plotting & Labeling Options

  • Flat Plotting: The VRML plot produced will be 2-dimensional. (This is the equivalent of scaling all intensities by zero.)

  • Wall Suppression: By default, the plot is produced with gray walls connecting the surface edges to the edges of a purple base-plane. With this option selected, no walls or base-plane will appear in the plot.

  • Label Suppression: By default, the plot contains tic-marks and labels (2*theta, Experiment-Run-Number, and Intensity) along each axis. With this option selected, no labels or tic-marks will appear in the plot.

By default, the plot is labeled with the Y-axis as the Run-Number axis. If the scan was made as 2*Theta vs. Temperature, Omega, Chi, Phi, or Translation, and you would like the labeling to reflect that, use the Scan Type menu to select the scan type. (Note: If you select a scan type other than Experiment-Run-Number, and there was no variation in the chosen parameter the plot will be a 2D plot of 2*theta vs. Intensity, and many of the data-points will have been ignored.)
