PROGRAM MADUBM

To generate
D cards for the UB matrix read from a record stored on the ILL data base

Description:

Reads the header part of a numor recorded by one of the diffractometers D15, D9, D10, D16 or D19 and extracts the UB matrix and wavelength. These data are converted into CCSL "D" card format and appended to the crystal data file specified by the user.

Input:

There are no pre-requirements for the contents of the crystal data file which may therefore be a new file.

Output:

A listing file giving the record number (numor) the wavelength and the UB matrix.
The updated crystal data file

Notes:

Note that if D cards are already present in a crystal data file they will not be overwritten. The user must ensure that only one set is present before using the crystal data file.

Running the program:

On running the program the user is asked for the crystal data file on which to write the D cards . This may be a new file, or one to which the D cards should be appended. Following that, the instrument name, the cycle number and the record number (numor) from which the UB matrix should be read, are requested. The instrument should be one of D15, D9, D10, D16 or D19.
The current reactor cycle is 0 (default), the previous cycle -1, other cycles are given as 3 digit numbers: eg 962 for the second cycle in 1996.
If the environment variable MADDATA is defined then the record will be read from the file 'numor' with path MADDATA.
