Examples from Extra data disc 4

Extra Data Disc 4

The extra data disc 4 for !PolyDraw and !PolyNet contains all the non-convex uniform polyhedra and their duals.

A uniform polyhedron has identical vertices with faces made from regular polygons (not necessarily convex).

The original polyhedra may have more than one type of face. In the pictures below the uniform polyhedra are on the left with different face types in different colours. The duals are on the right, shown in white because they have faces corresponding to the original's vertices and hence are all identical.

Note that this model is a 'hemi', meaning that some of its faces pass through the centre of the polyhedron. This means that the dual's vertices corresponding to those planes are at infinity. They are shown as black truncating planes here.
